Working with Buck has been a new and exciting experience! He takes his time to ensure that the project is done as perfect as can be. Rather than a business relationship, Buck really takes interest in your songs and becomes a part of your project. He added his musical expertise by contributing his advanced guitar skills. His guitar work added so much to my album.
Buck is very laid back. He made me feel like I was going over a friend’s house to work on a project together, rather then a business relationship that involves time and money. He takes interest in your work and will try to further your musical growth by helping you with the promoting aspect of the record or any questions you may have about the recording industry.
He takes his time and explains the art of recording as well as the recording program. Not only did I end up with a fabulous record, I also learned a little bit about recording! Most engineer’s are so concerned with time and money that sometimes the business aspect takes over which can take away from the creative process and the joy of recording. I’ve worked with a lot of engineers and I have to say, working with Buck has been a wonderful experience!

Working with Buck Brundage at Couch Creative Services was a great experience. Last year I had worked on recording a CD project at home. And when I was done, I realized it was recorded all wrong it was in mono (ugh!). Anyway, I called Buck and he insisted I bring what I had to him. We proceeded to take apart all the tracks and re- record the songs. It took a while, but in hindsight I am so glad I did it the right way. The whole CD came out great. He was so helpful, in explaining what I did wrong, and about the whole process. Buck has a great ear and even laid down some bass tracks for two songs!
It was truly a pleasure to work with Buck. As for Phil Magnotti, he is a great guy, and a pleasure to work with as well. I am so glad I went to him to get it mastered. He is truly top notch and really knows his stuff!
Thank You Buck & Phil!

When I first started this project with Buck, I had some songs I liked that I wanted to record. By the end of the project I had a record. I learned that any fool can record a song, but it takes a producer to make a record. Buck is a professional producer who has been in the business for 30 years. He was always 5 steps ahead of me on how it was all going to fit together. Like an arranger, he worked with the band (who enjoyed working with him too) to put together what everybody who has received advanced copies agrees is a first rate record. His connection with others in the business helped in every aspect of the project, like having three time Grammy award winner Phil Magnotti to do the mix tweaks and mastering which proved to be invaluable. Buck’s efforts have extended into doing much of the heavy lifting in the promotional area as well, and his dedication to the project has been an education as well as an inspiration.

Dear Buck,
Working with you has been an artist’s dream come true. You have great ears, wonderful business sense, extreme amounts of patience, and a big heart. You have taken our songs, our sound, and our playing to new and undiscovered heights and have an uncanny ability to get the best out of an artist with your “anything is possible” attitude. Our CD sounds so awesome that everyone who listens to it thinks it was done in a major label studio. When we tell them that it was recorded at SBR studios in Brewster, NY their jaws drop and they are in total disbelief. That reaction from our fans and musical peers is proof enough for us that meeting you and working with you is the best thing that ever happened to two guys from Carmel, NY endeavoring to succeed in the music business. Thank you for all your hard work… it has been an absolute pleasure! When can we start on the next record?
All the best in music and friendship,
Mike and Dave Bereznak

Sundad's first CD, “Journey To Eternity”
Received multiple nominations for 2005
“Best New Artist and Best Instrumental Acoustic Album”.
Now that our CD "Journey To Eternity"
is completed and ready to be
released I felt it was time to officially acknowledge you for
all your help on this project. It all started with a meeting at
your studio where you listened to some of our tapes and showed
us what your accomplishments in the industry were. We were very
pleased that you decided to work with us on the project as engineer and producer
and in the final analysis as a friend. You are definitely an artist when
it comes to recording the guitar. The sounds you were able to
capture made us all play that much better. And the same goes for
the percussion. Your tips and pointers as we were going through
the recording process have proved invaluable. The final CD is
a culmination of our writing and playing AND your engineering
skill, production ideas, mixing ability and extremely valuable
input. So thanks again for all your hard work and help on this
project.

Buck,
I'd like to thank you for your help with my CD "2 Short of 12". It was a long and winding road, but we were able to pull it together. I walked into your studio with basic analog recording knowledge and left with a vast understanding of the world of digital. Your patience, insight, production and engineering skills made my experience fulfilling. Keep up the great work.

Buck Brundage is the consummate tone-meister. Everyone who hears my album "The Guitar" is blown away by the tone of my guitar. Well, I always want to take the credit, but that would be dishonest. Without Buck the CD would sound like all the other classical guitar albums that one might care to mention. He is a pleasure to work with. In thirty five years of recording I have never felt more at ease when the red light has come on. With Buck, recording is exactly what it should be: a time to let the creative energy flow.
I drive two and a half hours to get to SBR studios -- past Albany and Woodstock -- so you know I am motoring past quite a few studios to get to Buck's. It is well worth the effort.
A side benefit of working with Buck is the ability to tap into his vast resources of quality people. He arranged to have Phil Magnotti (a multiple Grammy winner) master my CD for duplication. How many artists can claim this? Thank you Buck and Phil for making "The Guitar" an amazing recording!

Quite simply Buck is king… he is a master at sound design and production as well as an absolute pleasure to work with. I was amazed by his vast knowledge of the music business. Not only did Buck bring his 28 year history in the business he brought with him Phil Magnotti who has been in the music industry since 1982. Phil has acquired over 200 major label credits two Grammy’s and become one of the most
in demand mixers in the industry. I look forward to working with Buck and Phil on all future projects.

We in Cross Purpose (Bob Stanhope, Roy Ellingsen, Mike Mayer,
(
Tim Kennedy) just finished recording our first CD with Buck Brundage
at Couch Creative Services in Brewster, NY. The process went very
well and came in at the extremely reasonable price initially quoted
to us by Buck. He accommodated our idiosyncrasies and gave us
good advice, not only on the recording, but also with regard to all the potential peripheral pot holes that a recording project might have.
In addition we had the privilege of having our final edits and mastering
done by a colleague of Buck's, 3-time Grammy winner Phil Magnotti
at Silvermine Studio, in Norwalk, CT. The process went so well we're already talking about doing a
second CD.

know what to expect but since having worked with you during the
course of my project I’ve been truly impressed by your
understanding of music and ability to bring my songs up to their
fullest potential. I’m thrilled to say that my record
is finally finished and receiving glorious reviews. Thank you
so much.

Buck, I want to thank you man, this CD has totally exceeded all
my
expectations. This CD was my first effort as a solo singer/songwriter
in the pop style genre and a huge learning experience for me as
a recording artist. Thanks for your patience and productive criticism..
When you asked me to work with you, I was looking for an
engineer/producer who could advise and guide me in my quest to
expand from a piano/vocal demo and produce a sound unlike anything
I'd ever done before with bands.
Truly none of the other engineers I'd worked with could have created
the sound that you produced on this CD. I'd recommend that any
new recording artist see you before producing a CD of his or her
own.
Buck, I can proudly put the CD up against any of the artists I
admire,
because its production and sound are flawless. You've worked with
some of the industries top professionals and I was honored that
you thought my music worthy of your vast engineering and production
skills.
Your instincts, from the basic tempo mapping to the many layers
of instrumentation, were right on. You built each layer with its
own unique space and blended them precisely into a beautiful mixture
of instrumentation to create a three dimensional sound that comes
at you from all directions giving the listener a lush hearing
experience (a very cool thing). And most important to a lead vocalist,
you set the lead vocal perfectly out on the front of this beautifully
recorded music. It takes a lot of skill to record a great lead
vocal as brilliantly as you (singers want their voice to be heard!).
Oh and Buck, I can't tell you how many people asked me who did
my sizzling guitar tracks, you are a true virtuoso on that Ax.
And I also have to tell you how much the other artists I worked
with on this project enjoyed working with you in your studio.
You have great communication skills and record and edit quickly
with great patience to each detail.
Finally, I want to thank your friend Phil Magnotti for his brilliant,
final mix and mastering at Silvermine Studios in Norwalk.. It
sounds amazing, it's no wonder he's received two Grammy's. Working
with you and Phil, I feel now that I can go much further with
my songwriting and earn a Grammy too some day.
Keep everything on! I'll be right back!
With love and respect, your friend and fellow artist.

Dear Buck,
I just wanted to say thanks for all your great work on our
new CD, “Behind These Walls”. Your commitment to
the music and the project was evident throughout the entire
process from pre-production through final mastering. Not only
was your projected budget for the project at its outset extremely
reasonable, but you beat it by a fair amount when all was said
and done. I must stress that the quality of the finished product
is impeccable and everyone who has listened to it has been shocked
at “how great it sounds”. We’ve received great
praise on the CD and I’ve received innumerable compliments
on my guitar sound as well. People who anticipate hearing a
mediocre recording are quickly, and pleasantly surprised to
hear something far beyond their expectations. Thank you for
working so diligently to give us a “World Class”
CD.
Beyond the sonic and monetary ends of things I must comment
on your skills as a producer. Your genuine and passionate support
of our music and our band shone through the entire recording
process. Your contributions in all aspects of the project from
song writing and arrangement, to adding color and parts, to
mixdowns attest to your sincere vision as a musician and as
a producer. You have become an important component of Weapon-X,
as vital as any of the band’s individual members.
You always put the music and the song first, which is a testament
to your motives; You’re in this field for the love of
the music and it shows in the quality of your work. Your sincerity,
dedication and friendship are something money can’t buy
and are greatly appreciated. I’m sure there are many good
producers out there, but these are qualities make you a truly
great one and a great person as well. Thanks you for making
the experience fun and giving us a recording we can always be
proud of as a band. We have fond memories of SBR studios and
we look forward to working on our next CD with you.
Sincerely,

Buck,
Just a quick note to let you know how much we appreciate your
help on our new album coming out this January. You helped us achieve
what we were striving for in the studio with a minimum of hassle.
We enjoyed the laid back but very professional atmosphere you
provided. The quality of our recording is fantastic! Guitar tones
on this record are one of the best that I have heard at any level.
From being very easy to work with to always delivering what was
promised on time this project is the best work that we have done.
From inspiring and guiding at times to knowing when to pull back
and let the band make it happen is the TRUE meaning of producing.
The band and I will always recommend your services and look forward
to getting to work on our next project.

Dear Buck,
What can we say to you after four years of working together?
You’re like family, it’s like a marriage, we’ve
been through highs and lows together. The one thing that has remained
constant, though, has been your commitment to quality, your understanding
of our music, and your willingness to give 200%.
Your guitar sounds and production ideas have been an incredible
inspiration for us, certainly inspiring Ellen on to some electric
guitar playing she didn’t know she was capable of.
Roger has always felt completely comfortable recording any of
his many instruments, from percussion to accordion to harmonica
to keyboards. There’s a warmth in the recording that goes
beyond the technical that you have been able to capture.
Your emotional support makes it possible for both of us to perform
our vocals in a most relaxed, creative atmosphere. In fact all
our work with you is made better because of the trust we have
in your abilities.
And your work is recognized by others. We always get complements
from both industry professionals and fans on the recording quality
on our CDs.
We feel you have been and will continue to be an invaluable asset
to our team and wouldn’t work on a project without you.
Love,
Ellen & Roger
